This CME activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) thru the Joint Sponsorship of the Institute for Medical Studies (IMS) and the Angiogenesis Foundation. IMS is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

CREDIT DESIGNATION

IMS designates this educational activity for a maximum of two (2) AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only those hours of credit that he/she spent in the educational activity.

Nurses may claim credit for activities approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits in most states, for up to 50% of the nursing requirement for recertification. This activity is designated for up to 2 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Release and Experation Dates

The release date of this activity is December, 2007.
Credit is valid thru November, 2008.

Practicing oncologists and oncology nurses in the US.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

  • Describe angiogenesis targets and pathways in hepatocellular carcinoma
  • Describe the paradigm shifts in cancer management accompanying antiangiogenic therapy
  • Review clinical data regarding the use of antiangiogenic agents in treating advanced hepatocellular carcinoma
